The mixshield TBM drove a railway tunnel (2 x 1.6 km) for rail freight traffic. As part of the 160 km-long Betuwe route, which links the Port of Rotterdam with the German border, the railway tunnel runs under the Pannerdensch canal between Bemel and Zeveneer.
